Silkworms Craft And Workshop Fair
On Saturday the 21st of April in the centre space of Tooting Market
There will be an alluring assortment of extraordinary activities From Craft & Poetry workshops with live Fine Art Painting early afternoon and hauntingly mesmerising Performances in the evening.
Why not take a gander at the crafty things to do and take home or maybe just treat your ears, Hand printed clothes, handmade Jewellery, Zines, Traditional Nigerian Food and titillating melodies to set the mood.
From midday onwards two huge paintings will start to erupt from powerful painters Lukas Beachy and Hannah SingSong, come and watch them grow, or sit back, relax, get yourself a cup of hot milk and meet the characters of our story tellers imagination. Warning: some are more friendly than others.
The air will be humming with the smell of West African inspired soul food for the hearty and hungry. Come and fill your boots with soulful street treats!.

a stall not about selling a product but encouraging people to have a second look at their lives and see how they can re-use everyday materials to create something both beautiful and useful.

heads up ladies, Gilbert will be there, all day, selling his hand printed, intentionally simple, unpretentious and affordable T-shirts designed by crafty little art students.

The bar will start officially selling alcohol at around five. Just in time to grab a drink and sink into a comfy seat to catch a sultry evening performance from the soul singer Ms Hannah Heartshape.
The digitally organic duo Adekca will be playing a set and so will the divine 'Blind Vessel' along with a few other audible delicacies.
Plus silkworms old chums The Patchwork Paper, a D.I.Y. arts publication formed by a collective of creative kittens from all four corners of the capital. Publishing poetry, short fictions, photography, articles and illustrations by talented folk of all abilities and backgrounds, funded only by their epic nights of mystery and miscellany, CRAFTY. The Patchwork Paper are excited to be bringing zines, face-painting, home made cakes, poetry workshops for kids and adults and their usual winning charm, to Silkworm at Tooting Market.
